Ozturk Kayikci
ozzHe was born in Bilecik 1972 and started climbing during his university years. He stayed in the UK about two years and learned Engglish while working in a Kebab House. he returned back to Turkey in 1996 and started rock climbing. During those years he took a job as a tennis trainer and then moved on to film industry as a camera assistant for the movie Tabutta Rovesata. He was also involved in photography and writing travel articles with Ugur Uluocak, abroad and Turkey for Atlas magazine, a well known travel and nature magazine. He later settled down in Geyikbayiri which is one of the villages of Antalya for climbing. For five years he dealt with farming and ran a camping area in Geyikbayiri and set up the biggest climbing area in Turkey. e opened up several long routes, hundreds of sport climbing routes and sectors. He works at sky-scraped buildings, takes photos and lives for climbing, always planning his next journey.
